Fascinating that the two elections are so close. You’ve nailed it about Albo. See “The Rest Is Politucs” when Rory and Alistair have Albo on. A principled man without charisma but he has to make some harder decisions if re elected.

That's an excellent definition of Albo: principles without charisma. I wonder how far that takes a politician in today's world, which seems to demand constant spectacle. He's fortunate that his opponent has no principles & negative charisma.

What a daft analysis of the Oz election. No mention of the Indpendents/Teals/etc who bring a refreshing individuality to Parliament with their determination to actually make changes on things like the climate, integrity, taxation and the environment. Less radical but more practical than the Greens

I think the Teals will be at best a holding operation this time around. There's little point in looking at macro policy for independents, but I'd be delighted to see a few more mainstream pollies unseated by locally committed candidates. Oh, and there is a mention.

The campaign has gone on seemingly forever. No wonder so many have pre-polled, to get it done with. Albo is trying, but oh, so dull and the Egg is getting increasingly desperate throwing up policies on the spur of the moment. I laughed about Angus Taylor. Good description. Think he’s an idiot and have distrusted and disliked him since he lied and tried to smear Clover Moore (long while back). Do you remember it?

Thanks for another good article.

Angus Taylor is a good example of what happens to your brain if you spend too long sucking on a silver spoon
